About Gloucestershire Keyboard and Organ Club

Gloucestershire Keyboard and Organ Club has been in existence for nearly 40 years. It has changed its venue several times during this period, but for the last few years has enjoyed the facilities available at a Social Club a short distance from the city centre. The club boasts a fully dressed raised stage, excellent acoustics, comfortable "cabaret style" seating and a fully stocked, professionally run bar.

Our aim, as with other clubs, is to promote live keyboard and organ music provided by the host of talented players available on the professional circuit. Players such as Tim Flint, Byron Jones, Brett Wales, Jean Martin and Janet Dowsett are just a few of the regular visitors at our concerts which take place on the 4th Tuesday of each month starting at 8.00 am. The club's policy is to book popular players such as those mentioned above, as well as newer and lesser known names from the vast pool of talent available in the keyboard and organ world.

Our fees and charges at present are as follows:-

Annual Membership £5.00.

Each Concert  £3.50 for members and £5.50 for visitors.

It is also necessary to be come a member of the Social Club where the concerts take place. This costs £12.00 per person, and is reduced to £6.00 after the first year for Senior Citizens.

So come and join us! Our club is probably the only place in Gloucester where, for a very low price, you can hear, in one show, music as diverse as Show Music, Big Band, Light Jazz, Marches and Waltzes, Pop Music from the 1960s to now, as well as a wide range of Theatre Organ, Piano, Orchestral Strings, Woodwind and Brass Sounds, with Styles as varied as Country, Latin, Ballroom and even Rock and Roll!
